The girls and I tried making some no sew tutu’s. I think it turned out quite charming.
We got the idea from Julie on You Tube. Check out her short video by clicking on the picture.
I did tweak her design a bit by making my sections of tulle around four inches wide. I found it easier to cut once I had folded it in half three times.
I also made them much longer because I’m making them for my girls who are much bigger than the toddler size. I also couldn’t resist adding ribbon in between layers of tulle.
Loved how it turned out. Once my daughter had it on she couldn’t stop dancing…
And running and playing. I don’t know if I’ll be able to catch her to take it off. She’s having that much fun wearing it while pretending to be a dancing fairy Princess.
Andrea of Love Monkey also has instructions for a different No-Sew Tutorial that she posted on Kiddley. Click on picture for the link.
Make Them Yourself, also has a friendly no sew tutorial.
So get to it. Start cranking out those fun tutu’s for your very own little princess. And don’t forget to have fun.

Happy be-lated 4th of July, Fawn. God bless you.
These are so fun, and with the fairy wings below would make the perfect halloween costume! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I am definitely stealing this for halloween :] Question: did you cut the edge of each piece of tulle at an angle? it looks like it from the picture, i can't tell..
:D
Natalie - no I didn't cut the ends on angles, but I do think that would be cute if you tried it.

HI, I know this is an old post. I found you by googling no sew tutu.
I am going to be doing this for about 10 girls for a party. Do you have any guess or estimation, (based on how much you used)how much tulle i might need?
Thanks!
Any help would be appreciated!
