Father’s Day Fun

Father’s day is almost here and we are throwing out fun ideas for celebrating all those awesome Dad’s out there.

First of all personalizing your gift for dad is essential. So think about what Dad’s favorite hobbies happen to be then have fun.

Designer Kristine McKay created some fun gifts including this Mock Retro Bait Box you could make the special Dad in your life and includes free downloadable labels.

Kristine took a paper mache’ box she bought at Wal-Mart and filled old baby food jars with fun goodies like gummy worms, and Swedish fish. Perfect for the fisherman in your life. Click Here to see her Mock Bait Box as well as some other wonderful ideas and downloads.

If crafting isn’t your thing come up with some fun ideas of your own. Make or buy a Tool- Belt or Garden Tote and instead of filling them with tools and bait try filling them with other items that speak to Dad’s favorite hobbies. For example fill the Tool belt with Car Wash supplies, or the newest Game, extra paddle, and batteries. If Dad like’s to grill fill the tool belt with BBQ tongs, his favorite Hot Sauce Marinade, Seasoning packs and even his favorite canned Beverage.

A small garden tote would be perfect to fill with a commute car kit for Dad. Include a car-freshener, new Music CD or Audio Book to listen too, coupons to his favorite Drive-thru Restaurant, etc.

Your imaginations the limit.

No matter what you do the most important thing is to tell your Dad that you love him, whether through card, letter, phone call or what-not. Don’t let the day pass without expressing your gratitude.
